Our website and the waitlist
Effective
Vaylor Tech LLC (“we”, “us”) makes Vaylor, software for service businesses, launching in February 2027. This policy covers our website and our waitlist. It will cover the app when it launches.
The waitlist is for owners of service businesses in the United States.
What the waitlist keeps
When you join, we keep your email address, your trade (and the words you type if you pick Other), when you joined, which form and page you used, and where your visit came from: the page you landed on, the site that sent you, and the ad or link tags in that page’s address, ad click IDs included.
We also keep the kind of device and browser (for example, phone and Safari), your country and state, a scrambled copy of your email address (a SHA-256 hash), Meta’s browser and ad-click IDs (_fbp and _fbc), a waitlist code and a share code we make for you, and, if you joined through someone’s share link, the code of the member who shared your link.
We never keep your IP address, your full browser details, your name, your phone number or the full address of the page that sent you.
Your share link
When you join, we make you a share link with a short random code. The code is never made from your email address, and the link never shows your name or email address.
If someone joins through your link, we save your code with their join, so we know they came from you. A join from your own browser, or with a variation of your own email address, doesn’t count. To tell, we compare what we already keep. We don’t keep anything more.
Our website never shows who joined through your link, or how many did.
Your code is taken out of the page’s address before the Meta pixel and Clarity run, and we never send it to Meta or Microsoft.
Each visit
When you visit from outside the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, we record each visit, whether you join or not: the page you landed on and its full address with its ad or link tags (a share link’s code included), the name of the site that sent you, the kind of device and browser, your country and state, and when the visit started. A visit is tied to the random ID in our cookie vt_vid, never to your name. Link previews and search engine robots are not recorded.
Our three cookies
- vt_vid: a random ID for your browser, kept 400 days.
- vt_fs: the ID of your first visit, kept 400 days and never changed.
- vt_ss: the ID of this visit. It ends after 30 minutes without a page view.
They hold random IDs only. Our own server sets them, and page scripts cannot read them.
Meta (Facebook and Instagram)
We use the Meta pixel to count page views and waitlist sign-ups from our ads. When you join, our server also tells Meta about the sign-up, with a scrambled copy of your email address and, at that moment, your IP address and browser details, which we do not keep, so Meta can match it to the ad you saw.
Meta’s cookies _fbp and _fbc are set by our server and read by the pixel. Meta’s Privacy Policy covers what Meta does with this.
We, and third parties including Meta, may use pixels, cookies and similar tools to collect or receive information from our website and elsewhere on the internet. Meta uses it to measure ads and to show and deliver ads.
To opt out of ads based on your activity, use the ad settings in your Facebook or Instagram account, or the Digital Advertising Alliance’s choices page (in Europe, Your Online Choices).
Microsoft Clarity
We partner with Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising to see how visitors scroll, tap and leave our pages. Clarity records visits as heatmaps and replays. We use this to make our pages better, to keep the site safe, and for our ads.
Everything you type is hidden: Clarity’s masking is set to Strict, so what you type is masked and Clarity never sees it.
Clarity uses Microsoft’s cookies (_clck, _clsk and Microsoft’s own, such as MUID). The Microsoft Privacy Statement covers what Microsoft does with this.
Cloudflare Turnstile, and our host
Turnstile checks that a person, not a bot, is joining or sending us a question. Most people never see it. If it needs you, it shows one box to tap. Cloudflare’s Turnstile Privacy Addendum covers it.
Our website runs on Cloudflare, which delivers each page and sees each request, your IP address included, to keep the site fast and safe.
Our email service, and the emails we send
We send our emails through Resend. It receives your email address and the emails we send you. Resend’s Privacy Policy covers it.
A thank-you when you join, then launch news about every two weeks and a countdown before launch. Every email has an unsubscribe link and our mailing address. One tap unsubscribes you.
Questions you send us
If you send us a question, we email it and your email address to our support inbox, through our email service, so a person can write back; our website keeps neither, only the time it was sent, to limit how many go out each day.
No selling
We never sell your information.
No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.
Phone numbers collected for text messages are never shared with or sold to third parties for marketing.
Visitors from the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland
We don’t use the Meta pixel, the server event, Clarity or our three cookies, and we don’t record your visit.
If you join, we keep your email address and a scrambled copy of it, your trade (and the words you type if you pick Other), when you joined, which form and page you used, the kind of device and browser, your country and region, the check that you’re a person, a waitlist code and a share code, and, if the page you joined on came from someone’s share link, the code of the member who shared your link, and we send the thank-you email.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist sign-up, the records of your visits and the questions you send us (in our support inbox) until 12 months after launch, or until you ask us to delete them, if that comes sooner; anything that comes in after launch is deleted 12 months after it arrives. Ask us at privacy@vaylortech.com.
How to leave, or have it deleted
Unsubscribe with the link in any email. To have everything we keep about you deleted, email privacy@vaylortech.com.
After a deletion we keep only a scrambled copy of your email address, so we never email you again. What we already sent to Meta, and emails already delivered, can’t be called back. Meta’s own policy covers deleting what Meta holds.
